Prof. Dr. Mathias Jopp

Prof. hon. Dr. Mathias Jopp studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Gießen and the University of Frankfurt, Diploma in Economics (Dipl. rer. oec.), University of Gießen, PhD in Political Science. He is Director of the Institut für Europäische Politik in Berlin (IEP), editor of the quarterly journal “integration” and member of the editorial board of the “Zeitschrift für Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik”, reviewer of the VolkswagenStiftung and of the European Research Council and teaches at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen. Areas of interest: European security studies and foreign policy of the Federal Republic of Germany.





The Project "EU-Central Asia in the International System" (EUCAIS) is organised with significant funding from the VolkswagenFoundation and financially supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme JEAN MONNET of the European Commission.

The Volkswagen Foundation is an independent non-profit organization and has been funding research projects in all disciplines since 1962. Within the framework of changing funding initiatives, it gives specific impetus for the scientific community.

The Jean Monnet Programme in the Lifelong Learning Programme stimulates teaching, research and reflection on European integration at higher education institutions throughout the world.
